Our approach to a peace database

A « resource site » is based on three fundamental characteristics:

• A large collection of information that addresses a specific public who is in search of information around a certain theme.
• An effort to structure the information in order to organize and facilitate access to the content.
• An editorial choice ; a resource site is at the service of an editorial choice which is probably the major distinction from a classic database.

A resource site proposes logical methods to produce and structure a large amount of information on a given topic, so that it is accessible and easily mobilizable by the internet user. This approach intends to address two major challenges nowadays: the sharing of knowledge and experience on one hand and the need to select from the mass of available information the knowledge which is useful to action on the other hand.
