Elizabeth DESSIE

A graduate of l’Université Joseph Fourier, Elizabeth concentrates her groundwork analyses on themes relating to climate-induced migration, environmental conflict, access to secure land tenure and resource rights, repatriation and protracted population displacement, with a focus on countries delineating the Sahel region. Part of the Practices of Land Titling in Cities in Development: Mauritania, India and Ethiopia project team - conducted within the scope of the Property in Moslem Transitional Environments (PROMETEE) programme led by the French National Research Agency (ANR) - Elizabeth is currently mapping the socio-economic impacts of land titling practices on resettled slum dwellers in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
